The title of this review was a quote from my 8 year old daughter. The flavor drops don't add any flavor, just color, and after 3-4 drops stop releasing further gel/flavor substance. Grandpa was helping and said, "we should arrest the makers of this toy." What a waste of time and money and clean counter space.

My almost-5-year-old was very excited to pick out this kit at a bookstore. We brought it home, looking forward to making some cute little gifts. It is very straightforward... melt the gooey lip balm base, stir in a few drops of flavor, and put into the little plastic containers. The problems I encountered were:
1) as silly as it may seem, it's rather hard to divide something into 5 equal portions. 4 is easy, 6 would be easy, but 5 requires some geometry.
2) luckily it didn't end up mattering, because there's way more lip balm goo than the little containers will hold.
3) the container for holding the hot water, for melting the goo, is so small that the water doesn't stay hot very long.
4) the spatula provided for scooping the goo out of the original container into the measuring cup is so flimsy it can't do the job
5) the goo itself is SO STICKY. I literally had to wash my hands 5 times when we were done, and I'm still sticky. There is no way on earth I'd put that stuff on my lips.
6) since the goo is so hard to wash off of anything, the stickers don't stick well to the little containers. This was very disappointing for my child, who had been looking forward to that part the most.
I haven't used many of these kinds of kits, but this one was just no fun. It generated a lot of trash, too, which is something I prefer not to do. I really can't think of anything nice to say, other than the fact that the instructions were easy to follow.

This is such a cute craft to do with little girls or older girls cause its fun. Takes no heating beyond hot tap water, which melts the lip gloss then you can portion it out, add flavor and color and put into cute little containers which you then have stickers to decorate. A fun, fast and easy play time. And surprise, the lip gloss is really really good.!!
